Fairfield Memorial Hospital is inviting the public to attend an upcoming informational meeting about the Safe Families for Children program, aimed at supporting families in crisis.

Safe Families for Children is a faith-based volunteer movement that assists parents facing challenges such as homelessness, job loss, or medical emergencies by providing temporary, safe housing for their children. The program’s mission is to keep families together and prevent children from entering foster care.

The meeting will be held Tuesday, May 12th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Fairfield Memorial Hospital Educational Annex Building, located at 203 NW 10th Street in Fairfield. The event is open to the public, and food will be provided.

Attendees will hear from featured speaker Kayla Bell, PA-C, who has served as a volunteer host family member since 2015. Organizers say there are multiple ways to get involved, including serving as a host family, family friend, or prayer partner within the program’s support network.
