FNB Community Bank in Fairfield will host a community Shred Day event to help residents safely dispose of sensitive documents and protect against identity theft.
The event will be held on Saturday, June 6th from 9am to 12 noon and allow individuals to recycle and securely shred up to 50 pounds of paper materials. Bank officials say the event is designed to encourage safe disposal of personal documents while helping residents reduce the risk of identity theft.
Organizers noted the event is for paper shredding only, and electronic materials will not be accepted.
During the event, attendees can also learn more about Secure Plus Checking and additional identity protection services offered through the bank.
