Frontier Community College is inviting students in grades 6–8 to take part in a hands-on cooking class and team food challenge designed to teach basic culinary and nutrition skills. The class will be held June 1st through June 5th from 10am to 12 noon.
The program, offered in partnership with the University of Illinois Extension, will guide participants through lessons in food safety, food preparation, nutrition, and kitchen safety.
After learning the fundamentals, students will put their skills to the test in a team-based cooking challenge where they will plan, prepare, and present their own dish.
Registration is available through FCC Student Services.
