A 46-year-old man is back in custody at the White County Jail after authorities say he violated the terms of his pretrial release.
McLeansboro Police Department officers arrested George Hirschl on Thursday following the issuance of a warrant related to the alleged violation.
Hirschl was originally arrested on April 18 after an incident at Kids Kingdom Playground in McLeansboro. According to reports, a woman from Carmi told authorities Hirschl pulled a knife on members of her group during the encounter.
He has been charged with aggravated kidnapping, unlawful restraint, battery, and aggravated assault.
Authorities say Hirschl will remain in custody pending further court proceedings. He had been scheduled for a preliminary hearing on May 20, while a sanctions hearing is now set for Monday, May 11.
