Fairfield Grade School Board To Meet Monday Evening

The Fairfield Public School District 112 Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting Monday, May 11th at 6 p.m. in the Center Street Board Room in Fairfield.
Items on the agenda include approval of regular and closed session minutes from the April 20th meeting, along with financial reports covering the treasurer’s report, payroll and monthly bills.
Superintendent reports will include updates on revenue and expenses, food service and transportation. Board members will also review the first reading of the FY26 tentative amended budget and the first reading of the FY27 student handbook. A second reading of PRESS Policy 121 and review of the Dennis Rose and Associates audit engagement letter are also scheduled.
Action items include consideration of PRESS Policy 121 and approval of the audit engagement letter.
Principal reports from Center Street School and North Side School are also scheduled during the meeting.
The board is expected to enter closed session to discuss personnel matters, safety concerns and student discipline issues.
Following closed session, the board will consider action on the employment of an eighth grade girls basketball coach, assistant softball coach, assistant cross country coach and a full-time bus driver for the 2027 fiscal year.
The meeting is open to the public.
