Fairfield was led by Caleb King who went 2-2 with 2 Home Runs and 6 RBI’s and Jake Easton who went 2-2 with a Home Run and 2 RBI’s. Harv Keyser picked up the win for the Mules, going 4 innings, giving up 3 runs on 2 hits with 6 strikeouts. With the win, the Mules clinched the Black Diamond Conference-East Championship.

RICK BOOK INVITATIONAL:
On Monday, the Fairfield Mules Boys Track team was in action at the Rick Book Invitational at the FCHS Train Yard Track for SENIOR DAY. Fairfield recognized 2 seniors on the day, Jayden Wilson and Morgan Spina. The Mules finished the meet tied for 1st with Flora. Notable individual performances for the Mules were: Justin Johnson-1st in 400m and 2nd in 200m; Skylar Bladel-1st in 800m; Kanyen Lingafelter-2nd in 800m; Treyton Lewis-2nd in 1600m; Ashton King-2nd in 3200m; and Cayson Webb-2nd in High Jump

The St. Louis Cardinals will visit the Athletics tonight in Sacramento. Andre Pallante will get the ball for the Cards, who split their four-game set in San Diego. The team is now 23-and-17 on the season.

The Chicago Cubs are on the road to begin a new three-game series. Chicago visits the Atlanta Braves tonight at Truist Park. Right-hander Colin Rea is scheduled to start opposite Atlanta righty Grant Holmes. Rea is 4-and-1 with a 4.03 ERA through five starts and eight appearances this season. The Cubs have lost back-to-back games to enter at 27-and-14.

The Chicago White Sox are searching for a third straight victory. Chicago hosts the Kansas City Royals tonight in the series opener at Rate Field. Right-hander Erick Fedde is slated to start opposite Kansas City righty Stephen Kolek. Fedde is 0-and-4 with a 3.79 ERA through five starts and seven appearances this season. The White Sox enter at 19-and-21.

Elsewhere, the Cleveland Cavaliers evened up their series against the Detroit Pistons with a 112-103 home victory in Game Four. Playoff action continues tonight with Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs hosting Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves in Game Five. The best-of-seven series is tied 2-2.

The 29-year-old has spent his entire nine-year NFL career with the Cleveland Browns after being a first-round selection in the 2017 draft. The one-time Pro Bowler has 384 receptions for 4,062 yards and 34 touchdowns in 118 career games.

(Pittsburgh, PA) — The Steelers are making an important signing. The team extended Chris Boswell on Monday. ESPN reports the four-year deal is worth 28-million dollars, which ties the Cowboys’ Brandon Aubrey as the highest-paid kicker in NFL history. Boswell made almost 85-percent of his field goals last season and missed just one of his 43 extra point attempts. The 35-year-old has spent his entire 11-year career with Pittsburgh.
