FAIRFIELD GRADE SCHOOL BOARD OF EDUCATION REVIEWS BUDGET, HANDBOOK, AND STAFFING AT MONDAY MEETING

The Fairfield Grade School Board of Education met Monday night to discuss a range of financial, operational, and staffing matters.

Superintendent Kristina Gardner delivered her report, noting that the district has received 89% of its revenue and has expended 83% of its budget for fiscal year 2026. The current food service balance stands at $285,118.87.

In the transportation report, the board reviewed recent expenditures including an adjusted door latch for Bus #8 ($148.40), an oil and filter change for Bus #10 ($138.12), and a replacement A/C compressor for Bus #13 ($771.15).

The board also reviewed a tentative amended budget and held a first reading of the FY 2027 Student Handbook. The final reading of Press Policy 121 was conducted, and the board approved the engagement letter with Dennis Rose and Associates as district auditor.

Following a closed session, the board took action on several employment items:

Brittany Titzer was employed as 8th grade girls’ basketball coach.

Marissa Rottinghaus was hired as assistant softball coach.

Becky Kollak was named assistant cross country coach.

Amanda Harwell was employed as a full-time bus driver beginning in the FY 2027 school year.
