Riders honoring veterans and POW/MIA service members will pass through Mt. Vernon on Tuesday morning as part of the annual Run For The Wall.
The City of Mt. Vernon is welcoming participants in the cross-country motorcycle ride, which honors veterans, active-duty military personnel, prisoners of war, missing in action service members, and their families, while also helping raise awareness for those still unaccounted for from past conflicts.
The group is expected to arrive around 10:45 a.m. and will travel along Route 15 to the Mt. Vernon Airport for a scheduled lunch stop. Riders are expected to depart the airport at approximately 12:45 p.m.
Officials note residents should expect heavier motorcycle traffic and possible brief delays in the area during the late morning and early afternoon hours.
