The Wayne County Board will hold its regular monthly meeting tonight (Thursday) at 7:00 p.m. in the upstairs courtroom of the Wayne County Courthouse.
The meeting will begin with prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance, and roll call, followed by approval of the April meeting minutes.
During the public comment portion of the meeting, Danny Seasongood and Kim Bullard are both scheduled to address the board regarding property taxes.
Board members will also hear reports from several county offices and departments, including the Highway Department, State’s Attorney, Circuit Clerk, Sheriff, County Clerk, Treasurer, Supervisor of Assessments, Coroner, and Health Department.
Committee reports are also scheduled, including Claims and Finance for payment of bills, Sheriff, EMA, Animal Control and Welfare, Road and Bridge, Insurance and Education, Building and Grounds and Safety, Economic Development, Rules and Policy, and the Liquor Commission.
The agenda also includes old business, new business, chairman’s comments and appointments, and other discussion items before adjournment.
