HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASEBALL:

Newton 8, Fairfield 2

Fairfield was led by Logan Tullis who went 2-2, Tallen Hixenbaugh who went 2-3, and Harv Keyser who went 1-2 with an RBI. Boston Isaacs took the loss for the Mules, going 2 2/3 innings, giving up 8 runs on 10 hits. Tallen Hixenbaugh pitched 3 1/3 innings in relief, giving up 0 runs on 5 hits with 5 strikeouts.

 

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS SOFTBALL:

Casey-Westfield 3, Fairfield 1

Fairfield was led by Kiersten Vaughan who went 2-3 with a Stolen Base and Kenry Hutchcraft who went 1-3. Hutchcraft took the loss for the Lady Mules going 4 1/3 innings, giving up 3 runs on 2 hits with 4 strikeouts. Kiersten Vaughan pitched 2 2/3 innings in relief, giving up 0 runs on 0 hits with 1 strikeout.
