NEW HOPE SCHOOL BOARD TO MEET TONIGHT (TUESDAY)

The New Hope Community Consolidated School District Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting tonight (Tuesday) at 7 p.m.

Board members are expected to consider several financial, policy, and maintenance-related items during the meeting. Items on the consent agenda include approval of minutes from the April 21 meeting, the treasurer’s report, payment of bills, and destruction of closed session audio recordings older than 18 months. The agenda also provides an opportunity for visitors to speak, along with committee reports under the president’s prerogative.

Superintendent agenda items include information on school board conference registration opening June 1st, the final student attendance day on May 22nd with a 12:30 p.m. dismissal, results from the 5 Essentials Survey, new school uniforms, classroom placement, and resealing of the gym floor.

Under new business, the board will consider adoption of Press Policy Board Update Issue 121, display of the amended fiscal year 2026 budget, authorizing the superintendent to prepare the fiscal year 2027 budget, and payment of a maintenance grant stipend to Britany Pope.

The board is also expected to enter executive session to discuss personnel performance, appointments, and student discipline matters.
