Additional charges have been filed against a Bellmont man already facing multiple felony counts related to child sexual abuse material.
Wabash County State’s Attorney Kelli Storckman announced on Monday that eight new charges have been filed against 28-year-old Gage Hoffman. The new counts are classified as Class 2 felonies, alleging further child pornography offenses.
With these latest charges, Hoffman now faces a total of 15 charges stemming from an ongoing investigation.
Hoffman was originally charged on May 4th with seven Class X felonies involving child sexual abuse material. According to court records, several of the alleged offenses occurred between July 2024 and March 2025. Five of the initial charges involve victims under the age of 13, while two others involve victims under the age of 18.
The investigation was launched after Wabash County Sheriff’s Office deputies executed a search warrant on April 29th at a Bellmont residence. Investigators reportedly recovered electronic evidence linked to alleged possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, with additional forensic analysis still in progress. The Mt. Carmel Police Department and Illinois Attorney General’s Office assisted in the case.
