Brandon Gregory, 39, of Wayne City, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Wayne County Circuit Court to a charge of Aggravated Battery.
Judge Denton Aud sentenced Gregory to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, along with court costs.
The charge stemmed from a case occurring between June 2022 and January 2023.
Gregory was given credit for 412 days already served in the Wayne County Jail. Under the plea agreement, two additional counts connected to the case were dismissed.
The court also ordered Gregory to have no contact with the victim involved in the case.
According to court records, the sentence will be served concurrently with a parole violation order previously issued against Gregory in Wayne County.
