The Fairfield Community High School Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting Thursday, May 21st at 6 p.m. in the FCHS Study Hall. Board members are scheduled to review a variety of financial, personnel, and policy matters during the meeting.
Items on the consent agenda include approval of open and closed session minutes from the April 16 regular meeting and May 12 special meeting, along with approval of the district’s financial reports, payment of bills, and any additions or deletions to the agenda. The meeting will also feature a student focus presentation from the DC group.
Superintendent agenda items include a revenue-to-expense report, bank CD rates, graduation and end-of-school-year updates, amendments to the fiscal year 2026 budget related to Evidence-Based Funding payments, an RFP update, summer work hours, the 2026-27 student handbook, and a one-year review of the district’s strategic plan.
Under old business, the board will consider approval of Press Policy 121 from the April meeting.
New business items include review of the amended FY26 budget, approval of spending authority between July 1 and adoption of the FY27 budget, approval of summer work hours, and the first reading of the 2026-27 student handbook. Board members will also consider entering into a contract with Kids In Motion to provide event transportation during the summer of 2026.
The board is expected to enter closed session to discuss personnel matters and possible purchase or lease of real property. Following closed session, possible action may be taken regarding employment of a long-term substitute teacher and a girls tennis coach.
