Fairfield Memorial Hospital honors an employee each month who has been nominated by their peers for providing extraordinary patient care and customer service within and outside of the Hospital.
Joel Koker, Environmental Services Aide, has been selected as Fairfield Memorial Hospital’s May Employee of the Month. Since joining FMH in August of 2022, Joel has made a lasting impression through his dedication, attention to detail, and willingness to help others.
Joel’s commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff makes him a valued member of the FMH team. He is known for his thoroughness. He was most recently seen sitting on the floor, scrubbing the foot pedals on stretchers to ensure they were fully sanitized. He is always willing to lend a hand to fellow Environmental Services team members and is recognized for being kind, approachable, and dependable.

Joel is very dedicated to our patients, the EVS Team, and the hospital. He brings a fantastic work ethic and is focused on detail. Recently, he assisted me in updating our checklists to make them more efficient and practical, and he very often offers constructive insights that help to streamline our workflow.
