The Illinois Eastern Community Colleges Board of Trustees met Tuesday evening at Lincoln Trail College and approved several agreements, personnel actions, and program-related initiatives across the district.

Among the actions approved were affiliation agreements with Alton Physical Therapy, InLine Physical Therapy, Union Hospital, and Crawford Memorial Hospital. Trustees also approved submission of IECC’s Fiscal Year 2027 Perkins Postsecondary Grant budget to the Illinois Community College Board. The funding will support career and technical education programs throughout the district, particularly welding initiatives.

The board further approved the purchase of a reality simulation system through the Postsecondary Perkins Grant to strengthen hands-on training opportunities within allied health career and technical education programs. As part of ongoing operational restructuring and organizational alignment efforts, trustees authorized administration to implement a voluntary separation incentive program for eligible full-time non-bargaining employees.

Several personnel appointments were approved, including Ben Morgan as temporary full-time automotive instructor at Olney Central College; Will Bookhout as welding instructor at OCC; and Douglas Green as groundskeeper/custodian at Frontier Community College.

The board also ratified several resignations, including Terrance McGee as head men’s basketball coach at Wabash Valley College; Quianna McGee as coordinator of marketing and communications at WVC; Brock Plassman as TRIO Upward Bound academic counselor at WVC; and Caleb Kamplain as TRIO Student Support Services academic advisor at LTC.

Retirement ratifications included Jackie Shamhart as administrative assistant to the president and vice chancellor of institutional outreach at LTC; Joe Myers as MIT instructor; Tracy Robinson as coordinator of international admissions and compliance at WVC; and Bobby Moyes as information systems technician at WVC.

The next regular meeting of the IECC Board of Trustees will be held Tuesday, June 16, at Olney Central College.
