The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) will reach out to more than 90,000 producers across the country as part of its annual June agricultural survey. The survey aims to determine crop acreage and stock levels as of June 1st, with results scheduled for release on June 30th.
“The June agricultural survey is one of the most significant and recognized surveys NASS conducts,” said Joseph L. Parsons, NASS administrator. “When producers take part, they help ensure the nation’s agricultural reporting remains accurate, transparent and free from speculation. Their responses directly support decisions made by farmers, ranchers, researchers, private industry, and policymakers who depend on trustworthy data.”
Producers selected for the survey can respond online at agcounts.usda.gov, by phone, or by mail. They will be asked to report information on planted and harvested acreage, including data for biotech crops and grain stocks.
All survey results and additional NASS reports are available to the public at nass.usda.gov.
