A 19-year-old Fairfield man has been sentenced following proceedings Thursday in Wayne County Circuit Court before Judge Matt Vaughn.
Caleb Stringfield pleaded guilty to Criminal Sexual Abuse, a Class 4 felony.
Under the sentence imposed by the court, Stringfield was placed on probation for a term of two years and ordered to pay court costs. He also received a 180-day stayed sentence in the Wayne County Jail, meaning the jail sentence will be enforced if he violates the terms of his probation.
Stringfield was credited with 73 days already served in the Wayne County Jail.
The court additionally ordered that Stringfield have no contact with the victim involved in the case.
As part of the negotiated plea agreement, one additional case against Stringfield was dismissed.
