The Village of Cisne and Sunrise Sanitation will conduct the annual Spring City Wide Clean Up on Monday, June 8th.
The cleanup service is limited to residents living within the Cisne city limits. Officials ask residents to place approved items neatly at the curb no later than the evening before cleanup day.
Several items will not be accepted during the cleanup, including yard waste such as grass clippings, leaves, brush, tree material, and landscaping timbers. Construction debris including rock, concrete, roofing, siding, remodeling materials, and lumber will also not be accepted, except for small amounts that fit into a five-gallon bucket.
Other prohibited items include fencing materials, tires, wet paint cans, automobile parts, lawn mower and small engine parts, electronics, and any items considered unacceptable by the Environmental Protection Agency.
Officials also noted that items exceeding a 4-by-4-foot pile, including materials from abandoned rental properties, will not be collected.
Residents are encouraged to place smaller items into boxes or bags to help speed up the cleanup process.
