Linda Kuykendall, 77, of Crossville, Illinois passed from this life at 10:25 AM Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Pana Health and Rehab Center, Pana, Illinois. She was born Saturday, September 18, 1948, in Eldorado, Illinois, the daughter of Charles Albert and Helen Varece (Higginson) Kuykendall.
Linda enjoyed gardening, playing bingo, and horses, of which she owned at least four over her lifetime. She retired from helping her family operate B & H Sundries retail store and worked on her farm both in Crossville. Ms. Kuykendall also cherished the time she was able to spend with her family.
Survivors include, an aunt, Anna Ruth Wiggins; uncle Gene Higginson; nieces and nephews, Allan Stover of San Angelo, TX, LaDonna (Tom) Grunloh of Enfield, IL Cindy (Robert) Orrison of Kincaid, IL, Jesse (Rachel) Stover of Mill Shoals, IL, RaJeanna (Mike) Rowe of Enfield, IL, brother-in-law, Ray Stover of Enfield, IL; along with many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters Lois Stover and Doris Kuykendall.
A graveside service celebrating the life of Linda Kuykendall will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026, with Pastor Dave Cochran officiating at Stokes Chapel Cemetery in Crossville, Illinois. Roberts and Cook Funeral Service in Crossville, IL and Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid, IL have been entrusted with the arrangements
