The Fairfield Community High School Board of Education met Thursday, May 21st, and approved several items during its regular meeting.
Board members unanimously approved the consent agenda and the board also approved PRESS Policy 121.
Additional action included approval to allow district spending between July 1st and the adoption of the Fiscal Year 2027 budget.
Summer work hours were also approved. Under the action, summer hours will run Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. beginning June 1st.
Board members approved a contract with Kids In Motion to provide event transportation services during the summer of 2026.
In personnel matters, the board approved the re-hiring of Rick White as a long-term substitute and also approved employing White as the girls’ tennis coach.
All board members were present for the meeting.
During the Student Focus portion of the meeting, Fairfield Community High School seniors Jude Carter, Anne Kelly, and Grady Simpson spoke about their recent trip to Washington, D.C.
