The Chicago White Sox opened up their series against the Minnesota Twins with a 3-1 win from Rate Field. Munetaka Murakami tied the game with a solo homer in the bottom of the first before Drew Romo gave Chicago the lead for good with a two-run shot in the second. Anthony Kay earned his fourth win after holding Minnesota to one run on five hits in six innings. The Southsiders remain in second place in the AL Central at 27-and-26. Sean Burke starts for Chicago against Minnesota tonight.

The St. Louis Cardinals managed just two hits during a 5-1 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers at American Family Field. Ivan Herrera drove in the Cardinals only run of the game in the top of the sixth. Matthew Liberatore was charged with his third loss after striking out ten and allowing three runs on seven hits in five innings. The Cardinals are in second place in the NL Central at 29-and-23. They send Michael McGreevy to the mound against Milwaukee tonight.

The Chicago Cubs are on a nine-game losing streak after a 2-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park. Michael Busch drove in Chicago’s only run with a solo home run in the top of the fifth. Trent Thornton was charged with his first loss out of the bullpen. The Cubs are in third place in the NL Central at 29-and-25. They send Jordan Wicks to the mound against the Pirates tonight.

The New York Knicks trampled the Cleveland Cavaliers 130-93 in Game Four to complete the sweep and lock up their spot in the Finals for the first time since 1999. Playoff action continues Tuesday with the Oklahoma City Thunder playing host to the San Antonio Spurs in Game Five of the Western Conference Finals. The best-of-seven series is tied up at two wins apiece.

(Undated) — The Lakers have begun to reshape their front office during their offseason. ESPN is reporting that Los Angeles is hiring Rohan Ramadas as an assistant general manager under president and GM Rob Pelinka. Ramadas spent the last year as a vice president of strategy and operations for the New Orleans Pelicans after originally joining the team in September 2024. He has been described as a literal rocket scientist and implemented AI and coded models to aid the front office in New Orleans. The Lakers also plan to hire an additional assistant GM to overlook pro scouting, draft scouting and player development.

(Undated) — The Hurricanes have back to back overtime victories in the Eastern Conference Final after outlasting the Canadiens 3-2 in Game Three from Montreal. Carolina now leads the best of seven series 2-1 and will visit the Habs for Game Four on Wednesday. Out west the Vegas Golden Knights are looking to advance to the Stanley Cup Final for the third time in franchise history. The Golden Knights are leading the Western Conference Final 3-0 entering Game Four against the Colorado Avalanche.

(Arlington, TX) — Three Astros pitchers combined for a no-hitter to lead the team to a 9-0 victory over the Texas Rangers in Arlington. Starter Tatsuya Imai earned his second win after tossing six scoreless frames before Steven Okert and Alimber Santa finished out the game on the mound. Yordan Alvarez and Christian Walker both homered and combined for five RBIs to lead Houston at the plate. The Astros have won four in-a-row to sit at 24-and-31.

(Undated) — The NCAA baseball tournament bracket was unveiled on Monday. UCLA is the number one overall seed after winning its first Big Ten tournament over the weekend. The Bruins are one of 16 teams that will host double-elimination regional rounds, which begin on Friday. The field will eventually be whittled down to the eight teams that will play in the College World Series, which begins June 12th in Omaha.

(Undated) — The second day of action at the French Open has concluded. Fifth-seeded American Ben Shelton and eighth-seeded Alex de Minaur each picked up three-set wins to advance to the second round on the men’s side. Other Americans advancing are 19-seed Frances Tiafoe, 24-seed Tommy Paul, 31-seed Brandon Nakashima and Alex Michelsen. On the women’s side, two-seed Elena Rybakina, three-seed Iga Swiatek, and sixth-seeded American Amanda Anisimova advanced. Other American women to punch their ticket into the second round were Alycia Parks and McCartney Kessler. The action at Roland Garros continues on Tuesday.
