The Flora Rotary Club will host its first annual pickleball tournament June 19th and 20th at the Rotary Pickleball Courts in Flora.
Competition will begin Friday, June 19th, with seniors ages 55 and older playing from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Players age 18 and under will compete from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Tournament action will continue Saturday with men’s doubles intermediate competition from 8 to 10 a.m., followed by men’s doubles advanced from 10 a.m. to noon.
Women’s doubles intermediate will take place from noon to 2 p.m., with women’s doubles advanced scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. Mixed doubles intermediate matches will run from 4 to 6 p.m., followed by mixed doubles advanced from 6 to 8 p.m.
Entry fee for the tournament is $30 per person. Organizers said registration is available through a QR code posted on event flyers, and additional information can be found on the Flora Rotary Facebook page.
Each team is guaranteed five games, and divisions are limited to a maximum of 12 teams. The registration deadline is June 12.
Division winners will receive their entry fee back as part of the tournament prizes.
