According to information from this past Tuesday’s Mt. Carmel City Council meeting, Mayor Joe Judge indicated that the city’s new Aquatics Center is moving closer to reality.
Residents can expect to see major changes at the site over the next several weeks, Mayor Judge said, as work progresses on the pool and bathhouse areas. Work on the floor is expected to begin next week. Once completed, construction will move to the pool walls.
The Mayor indicated that the project should progress quickly, noting that many of the long lead-time materials that are often delayed until later in construction have already arrived.
