The White Sox rallied for a 2-1 win over the Tigers to sweep their three-game series in Chicago. Colson Montgomery evened the game in the bottom of the seventh with a solo homer before Tristan Peters drove in the go-ahead run with an RBI single. Chicago has now won each of its last five. The Southsiders are in second place in the AL Central at 32-and-27. They visit the Minnesota Twins tonight.

The St. Louis Cardinals picked up a series win over the Chicago Cubs with a 5-1 victory in the rubber match from Busch Stadium. Alec Burleson and Masyn Winn each drove in a pair of runs in the victory, while Matthew Liberatore earned his third win after allowing just three hits in five-and-a-third innings. St. Louis is in second place in the NL Central at 31-and-26. Michael McGreevy starts for St. Louis against Texas tonight. Alex Bregman hit a solo home run in the losing effort, while Jordan Wicks was charged with his second loss after surrendering three runs on four hits in two innings. The Northsiders are tied for third place in the NL Central at 32-and-28. They begin a home series against the A’s tomorrow night.

>>Lawmakers Discussing New Bears Stadium Bill
(Springfield, IL) — Illinois lawmakers are discussing new legislation designed to help the Bears build a new stadium in Arlington Heights. The measure would give municipalities in Cook County with more than 70-thousand residents the ability to create a Municipal Stadium Authority. The Bears would finance the building of the stadium but would then turn it over to the stadium authority to lease it. That means the team wouldn’t pay any property taxes on the stadium.

(St. Louis, MO) — The St. Louis Battlehawks wrapped up their 2026 regular season with a 20-16 loss to the Dallas Renegades at The Dome at America’s Center on Friday. Luis Perez passed for 272 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in the losing effort. St. Louis finished the year tied for second place in the UFL at 6-and-4. The Battlehawks host Louisville in the playoffs on Sunday.

(San Antonio, TX) — The Spurs and Knicks are gearing up for the NBA Finals. The sides clash in Game One from San Antonio on Wednesday. Victor Wembanyama led his Spurs squad past the defending champion Thunder in seven games to advance out of the West. Meanwhile, Jalen Brunson spearheaded the Knicks’ four-game sweep over the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals. San Antonio is seeking its first Larry O’Brien trophy since 2014 while New York hasn’t won a title since 1973.

(Raleigh, NC) — The Stanley Cup Final gets underway this week. The Carolina Hurricanes will host the Vegas Golden Knights in Game One Tuesday in Raleigh. The Canes beat the Montreal Canadiens in five games in the Eastern Conference Final. Out west, the Golden Knights swept the President’s Trophy-winning Colorado Avalanche.

>>Lemieux’s Brain To Be Donated For Research
(Undated) — Former NHL star Claude Lemieux’s [[ luh-myoo ]] brain will be donated for research into long term effects of repetitive brain injuries. That’s according to his family, who said in a statement that the brain will be sent to the Boston University CTE Center. The family said it gave the center permission to publicly share any findings with Lemieux’s name. The NHL Alumni Association announced Lemieux’s passing Thursday. Authorties later announced that he died by suicide. Lemieux played 21 seasons in the NHL and won four Stanley Cups with the Montreal Canadiens, New Jersey Devils, and Colorado Avalanche.

(Sacramento, CA) — The Yankees’ bats exploded in the third inning of their 13-8 win over the Athletics in Sacramento. The Bronx Bombers scored all 13 of their runs in the top of the third. Paul Goldschmidt began the rally with an RBI single. Ben Rice went two for five with four runs batted in. New York has won six of its last seven. Jacob Lopez suffered the loss after allowing seven runs on five hits and two walks. The A’s have dropped five of their last six.

(Baltimore, MD) — The Orioles earned a four-game split against the Blue Jays following a 9-5 win from Baltimore. Kyle Bradish allowed just one unearned run on four hits over seven innings. Colton Cowser launched a three-run homer as Baltimore has won five-of-seven. Jesus Sanchez got hurt for Toronto after a fan threw a ball at him. The Jays have dropped back-to-back games.

(Fort Worth, TX) — Russell Henley captured his sixth Tour victory after outlasting Eric Cole in a one-hole playoff to win the Charles Schwab Challenge. Both players finished atop the leaderboard at 12 under par, but Henley was able to best Cole by one stroke to win the tournament. Cole’s record in a playoff is now 0-and-2. Defending champion Ben Griffin finished tied for third alongside Alex Smalley and Mac Meissner at 11 under par.

(Lebanon, TN) — Denny Hamlin is back in the win column after securing a Cracker Barrel 400 win. The driver of the Number-11 car held off Christopher Bell to cruise victory lane at Nashville Superspeedway. Chase Briscoe, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Shane van Gisbergen rounded out the top-five finishers. The NASCAR Cup Series heads to Michigan International Speedway next Sunday for the Fire Keepers Casino 400.
