Family Dollar, the variety store located at 13 E. Main Street in downtown Albion, is closing its doors for good. The store, situated on the former Borowiak IGA property, is currently liquidating all of its inventory in preparation for permanent closure.
Family Dollar is headquartered in Chesapeake, Virginia, and operates as a subsidiary of Dollar Tree. Despite having more than 8,000 stores nationwide, the Albion location will soon be shutting down.
After Family Dollar’s closure, the only remaining variety store in Albion with any grocery items will be Dollar General, located at 120 W. Main Street.
