It will soon cost you more to mail a first class letter. Starting July 12th the U.S. Postal Service will increase the price of a First-Class Mail Forever stamp from the current 78 cents to 82 cents. Metered one-ounce letters will jump from 74 cents to 78 cents.
The charges take effect on July 12th, and include an average 4.8 percent increase across mailing services.
