The Cardinals swept their three-game series against the Reds following a 5-3 win from St. Louis. The team plated two runs on a pair of errors in the eighth inning to break a 3-3 tie. Michael McGreevy gave up two runs in his six-inning start as St. Louis has won four straight. The Cardinals are in second place in the NL Central at 35-and-28. They visit the Mets tomorrow night.

The Cubs dropped the rubber match of their weekend series against the San Francisco Giants 2-1 in ten-innings from Wrigley Field. The Northsiders allowed a go-ahead single to Matt Chapman in the top of the tenth. Trent Thornton was charged with his second loss in relief, while Jameson Taillon left the game with a hamstring injury after pitching just one inning. The Cubs are tied for third place in the NL Central at 34-and-32. They visit the Rockies tomorrow night.

>>Chicago Bears Advancing Plans For New Stadium In Northwest Indiana
(Chicago, IL) — The NFL’s Chicago Bears say they are advancing the plans for a new domed stadium in northwest Indiana in the suburb of Hammond. The Bears say “a world-class stadium project in Hammond will transform the region connecting northwest Indiana to the South Side of Chicago through the Loop and across neighborhoods and suburbs stretching north of the city.” Indiana Governor Mike Braun released a statement saying, “Hoosiers, help me welcome the Chicago Bears to our great state!” He went on to say they are looking forward to building a partnership “as strong as the ’85 Bears defense, creating opportunities and economic growth that will benefit our state and the Bears organization for decades to come.”

(St. Louis, MO) — The St. Louis Battlehawks’ season is over following a 29-20 loss to the Louisville Kings in the UFL Semifinals from The Dome at America’s Center. Luis Perez passed for 249 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the losing effort. The team lost in the first round of the playoffs for the third year in a row.

(New York, NY) — The Knicks are trying to effectively end the NBA Finals. The team is hoping to go up 3-0 over the Spurs when Game Three tips off from Madison Square Garden on Monday. Jalen Brunson nailed a clutch free throw late in Game Two to give the Knicks a one-point lead. Victor Wembanyama committed a terrible turnover which led to the free throws. The Spurs superstar still had a chance to win the game for his side, but missed an elbow jumper at the buzzer. No team in NBA history has come back from a 3-0 deficit to win a best-of-seven playoff series.

(Chicago, IL) — Former Chicago Bulls star and NBA broadcaster Stacey King has died at the age of 59. The team announced his sudden death Sunday. King was a member of the Bulls’ famous three-peat squad in the early 1990s and a broadcaster for the team. He won three consecutive championships with the Bulls between 1991 and 1993. Bulls owner Jerry Reinsdorf said, “Stacey King was a cherished member of the Bulls family and one of the truly unique personalities in our organization’s history.”

(Philadelphia, PA) — The 76ers are still tweaking their front office. ESPN reports the team promoted Jameer Nelson to the executive vice president of basketball operations position. He was previously the assistant general manager. In addition, Philly will not bring back Elton Brand as the general manager. Nelson will serve under Mike Gansey, who replaced Daryl Morey as president of basketball ops.

(Las Vegas, NV) — The Stanley Cup Final has gotten off to a historic start. After recording the fastest hat trick in the history of the Cup finals Mitch Marner and the Vegas Golden Knights are leading the Carolina Hurricanes 2-1 in the best of seven series. The Canes were unable to complete the comeback despite scoring three goals in 39 seconds during the third period. Carolina will be looking to bounce back from its tough loss when it visits Vegas for Game Four on Tuesday.

(Dublin, OH) — JT Poston is celebrating his fourth Tour victory after winning the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club. Poston topped Ryan Gerard on the second hole of a playoff to claim the title. Both players finished the final round atop the leaderboard at 12 under par. Wyndham Clark was third at 11 under. Defending champion Scottie Scheffler was tied with several others for 12th at four under par.

(Brooklyn, MI) — Denny Hamlin is celebrating back-to-back NASCAR Cup Series victories after winning the Fire Keepers Casino 400 from Michigan International Speedway. The driver of the Number-11 car blew past the competition, finishing more than 11 seconds ahead of second-place racer Erik Jones. Bubba Wallace, Kyle Larson and Carson Hocevar rounded out the top-five finishers. The field heads to the Poconos next Sunday.

(Paris) — The French Open came to a close over the weekend in Paris. Saturday, Mirra Andreeva took down Maja Chwalinska to claim the women’s title. The win was the first in a Grand Slam for the 19-year-old Russian. On Sunday, Alexander Zverev claimed his first career Grand Slam title with a five-set win over Flavio Cobolli in the French Open final on Sunday in Paris. Zverev became the seventh-oldest man in the Open Era to win his first Grand Slam event at 29 years and one month.

(Lake Forest, IL) — The Bears are locking down their top two picks from the 2026 NFL Draft. The team signed first-round safety Dillon Thieneman and second-round center Logan Jones to their rookie contracts over the weekend. Third-round tight end Sam Roush is the only Bears draft pick who remains unsigned.

(Toronto, ON) — The Chicago Sky got off to a slow start during an 85-68 loss to the Toronto Tempo from Coca-Cola Coliseum.
