The Illinois Eastern Community Colleges Board of Trustees is expected to affirm the appointment of its new Chancellor next week. According to Illinois Eastern Community Colleges Program Director of Marketing & Communications, Chris Forde, Dr. Timothy Taylor will be affirmed as the next Chancellor of IECC during its June 16th meeting. Forde says the selection follows several months of transition planning by the Board of Trustees to ensure a smooth leadership transition following Chancellor Ryan Gower’s retirement on June 30th. Dr. Taylor, who currently serves as President of Shawnee Community College, would assume the chancellorship on August 15th pending Board approval.
