The Illinois Extension’s Summer Twilight Series continues with a unique opportunity for the community to explore a local highland cattle farm later this month. This annual series, hosted by the Local Food Systems and Small Farms program, aims to spotlight southern Illinois agriculture by inviting residents to tour a variety of local farms and agricultural operations. The upcoming tour will be held at Edmison Acres, owned by Lindsey and Chad Edmison, who raise both highland and highland cross cattle alongside a row-crop operation. The free tour begins at 6 p.m. on June 22 at Edmison Acres, located at 777 County Road 1875 North in Johnsonville. The public is invited, and pre-registration is highly encouraged.
