Frontier Community College has announced a “Senior Citizen’s Day” event in September. The event on the Frontier campus is designed to provide helpful information, resources, and support for senior citizens. The morning will feature presentations from local professionals on topics including financial estate planning, resiliency, hospital resources, healthy meals, adult education, and tutoring opportunities. Registration and breakfast will begin at 8 a.m., followed by opening remarks at 8:30 a.m. Additional sessions will include guided breathing imagery provided by Fairfield Memorial Hospital, “Healthy Snacks – Healthy Meals” with Whitney Buckles of Fairfield Memorial Hospital, and “Adult Education – Tutoring Opportunities” with Sharis Wilson, Director of Literacy and Adult Education Operations. The event will conclude with door prizes and adjournment from 11:30 a.m. to noon. Advance registration is required to attend. To register, call Frontier Community College at 618-842-3711.
