Alfred Joseph “Joe” Hall, Jr., 84, of Norris City passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Deaconess Illinois Medical Center in Marion, IL. He was born in McLeansboro, IL on April 17, 1942, the son of Alfred Joseph and Annalee (Morris) Hall. Joe married Iona K. Pearce on March 2, 1979. He retired as a farmer with Sailer Farms. Joe was a member of Cherry St General Baptist Church. He loved being outdoors, whether it was fishing, hunting or mowing.
Joe is survived by his wife of 47 years, Iona; children, Tim Hall of Venice, FL, Leanna Cruse of Henderson, KY, Melissa (Tim) Whitaker of Henderson, KY, Kim (Mark) Tate of Norris City and Cindy Mitchell of Carmi; 11 grandchildren, Derek (Tiffany) Hall, Matthew Sneed, Chrissy Smith, Jessica (Michael) Phillips, Brad (Jerica) Sneed, James (Tess) Hall, Jacob (Jocelyn) Sneed, Nicholas (Neali) Tate, Mylee Mitchell, Allie Mitchell and Waylon Tate; 22 great grandchildren and a special family friend, Tim Sneed. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son-in-law, Don Cruse and a grandson, Steven Smith.
Funeral Services for Joe Hall, 84, of Norris City will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 15, 2026, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in Enfield Cemetery in Enfield, IL. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until service time 1:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.
