Motorists traveling I-57 in Marion County are being advised of lane restrictions starting Monday morning, weather permitting.
The Illinois Department of Transportation says one lane in each direction will be closed through most of Marion County starting at 7 a.m. Monday. The lane closures includes the area just north of Illinois Route 161 and the Fayette County line south of Farina. The project is being done for pavement patching and is expected to be done by late summer at a cost of $1.5 million.
Drivers are urged to slow down and obey signage and not use mobile phones while in the construction zones.
