>>NBA Draft Tips Off On Tuesday

(Brooklyn, NY) — The first stop in the NBA offseason is almost here. The draft tips off from Brooklyn on Tuesday. The focus remains on the Giannis Antetokounmpo [[ YAHN-iss ah-dedo-KOON-bo ]] trade speculation out of Milwaukee. ESPN reports it’s currently a three-team race between the Heat, Celtics and Timberwolves to acquire the 10-time All-Star. However, others suggest the Bucks’ asking price on Giannis remains “unrealistic.” Meanwhile, the Wizards are reportedly leaning toward taking Kansas backcourt stud Darryn Peterson with the first-overall pick. BYU forward phenom AJ Dybantsa [[ dee-BAHN-sah ]] is also a contender for the top selection and would likely make the short trek to Salt Lake City if he slips to the Jazz at Number-2.

>>Report: Hawks Extend CJ McCollum

(Atlanta, GA) — The Hawks are bringing back a veteran member of their backcourt. ESPN reports the team signed CJ McCollum on Sunday to a one-year extension worth 21-million dollars. The 34-year-old joined Atlanta last season as part of the Trae Young trade with Washington. McCollum averaged almost 19 points in just over 40 games with the Hawks, and was a key contributor in their first-round playoff series against the Knicks.

>>Senators Trade Brady Tkachuk To Panthers

(Undated) — The Tkachuk [[ KUH-chuhk ]] brothers will be teaming up in South Florida next season. The Ottawa Senators traded captain Brady Tkachuk to the Florida Panthers in exchange for the ninth and 25th overall picks in Friday’s draft, a 2029 first-round selection and a 2027 second-round pick. The 26-year-old will now be on the same team as his older brother, Matthew, and is under contract until 2028. The younger Tkachuk played in 572 games for Ottawa after being drafted by the team in the first round in 2018. He totaled 213 goals and 250 assists during his time with the organization.

>>Rangers Place Leiter On 15-Day Injured List

(Arlington, TX) — The Rangers will be without a member of their starting rotation for the foreseeable future. Texas placed right-hander Jack Leiter [[ lighter ]] on the 15-day injured list because of a right ankle injury. Rangers president of baseball operations Chris Young said that the 26-year-old has been trying to pitch and battling through a right ankle posterior impingement for most of the season. Leiter is 3-and-7 with a 5.29 ERA through 15 starts this year. The team recalled right-hander Jose Corniell from Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding move.

>>UNC Beats OU To Force Game Three Of MCWS Final

Xander Mercurius surrendered four runs over four innings to get the loss. Game three will be played Monday night in Omaha.

>>Wyndham Clark Wins The US Open

(Southampton, NY) — Wyndham Clark is a major champion once again. Clark collected his fifth Tour victory after winning the US Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club.
