WABASH VALLEY COLLEGE TO OFFER GAS UTILITY CONSTRUCTION BOOTCAMP

Wabash Valley College will host a new Gas Utility Construction Bootcamp designed to prepare students for entry-level careers in the natural gas utility and pipeline construction industry.

The two-week program will run August 3 through August 14 on the WVC campus in Mount Carmel. Classes will be held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will provide 90 hours of hands-on training in gas main and service installation, safety procedures, and preparation for Department of Transportation Operator Qualifications.

Enrollment is limited to 10 students. The cost of the program is $1,200 and includes industry-recognized certifications as well as job placement assistance.

Applicants must attend all sessions, pass a background check and drug screening, maintain a clean driving record, and be willing to travel or relocate for employment opportunities.
