The Hamilton, Wayne, and White County Relay For Life presented the Kathy Smith Volunteer Award to Cindy Anselment during its 2026 Relay Event Celebration.
The award was created in 2015 by the Relay Leadership Team in memory of the late Kathy Smith. It is presented annually to an individual who reflects her dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to Relay For Life.
Anselment has been involved with Relay For Life for many years, serving in multiple roles including Event Chair, Luminaria Chair, Accounting Chair, and as a member of Team Reyling.
As Luminaria Chair, she has spent countless hours organizing and verifying details to ensure every name is properly honored during the Luminaria Ceremony. Her nomination noted that her leadership and service have made a lasting impact on the Relay For Life community.
