The American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) has officially opened the application period for its 2026 County Activities of Excellence (CAE) program, inviting county Farm Bureaus across the country to showcase their most innovative programs and projects. The CAE program recognizes outstanding efforts at the county level that promote agriculture, engage communities, and support the mission of the Farm Bureau. County Farm Bureaus interested in participating are encouraged to submit their activities by the September 1st deadline.
Applications must be submitted online through the official portal at fb.org/cae, where applicants can click “APPLY NOW” and create a unique user account. For multi-county submissions, one county must be designated to manage the application process. The organization notes that paper or PDF submissions will not be accepted.
AFBF will select up to 24 exemplary county activities for recognition, including as many as four multi-county collaborations. Winners will be given the opportunity to present their projects at the AFBF Annual Convention, scheduled for January 8–13, 2027, in Charlotte, North Carolina. In addition to national recognition, winners will receive four complimentary registrations to the 2027 AFBF Annual Convention, booth space at the convention trade show, and a $4,500 cash stipend to assist with travel and exhibit expenses.
The winners of the 2026 CAE program will be announced during the first week of October.
