The Orchard Township community is set to mark America’s 250th birthday with a packed day of festivities, inviting residents and visitors alike to attend “Stars, Stripes, and 250 Years of Small Town Life” at OCIC in Orchardville on Saturday
The celebration kicks off bright and early at 8:00 a.m. with a 5K run, setting the stage for a full slate of family-friendly activities. Attendees can look forward to a parade, a flag retirement ceremony, and a variety of classic small-town events including a cornhole tournament, firefighter water fights, and a motorcycle show. Children and families will find plenty to enjoy, with bounce houses, face painting, laser tag, a petting zoo, and a pedal tractor pull all scheduled throughout the day.
Other highlights include bingo games, volleyball, shaved ice treats, youth pageants, and a wide selection of food from local vendors and homemade desserts. Entertainment will be provided by Jay Barbre and the Andy King Band, promising live music for all ages.
The day’s festivities will conclude with a fireworks display after dark, lighting up the Orchardville sky in celebration of the nation’s milestone anniversary.
Organizers note that vendor space is available at no charge for those who provide their own tent and tables. Community members and prospective vendors are encouraged to check the event’s Facebook page for the latest updates and registration information at Orchardville Day 5K.
