(Queens, NY) — The Phillies claimed their three-game series over the Mets following a 5-4 win from Queens. Kyle Schwarber blasted a two-run homer to take the lead in the seventh inning. It was his MLB-leading 30th of the season as Philly has won five-of-six. Kodai Senga gave up the home run for New York, which has dropped eight of its last nine games.

(Tampa, FL) — A star player on the Rays is dealing with a nagging issue. Yandy Diaz got pulled from Sunday’s game against the Diamondbacks with a strained shoulder. He got hurt while swinging a bat in the fifth inning and is considered day-to-day. Diaz is leading the American League with a .336 batting average and has 53 RBIs on the season.

>>Reds’ Suarez Exits After Hit By Pitch

(Pittsburgh, PA) — The Reds are hoping to avoid a major injury to their designated hitter. Eugenio Suarez exited Sunday’s loss to the Pirates after being hit by a pitch. Manager Terry Francona said Suarez will have a CT scan on Monday. The 34-year-old mentioned X-rays were inconclusive due to swelling. He is batting .208 with eight home runs and 29 RBIs this season.

(Boston, MA) — The Red Sox walked off with a 5-4 win over the Yankees in extra innings to sweep their series at Fenway Park. Jarren Duran drove in the game-winning run with an RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning. Caleb Durbin went one for four with a two-run single. Boston has now won five of their last six. Fernando Cruz was charged with the loss after allowing two runs on three hits. New York has now dropped four straight.

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Twins earned a three-game series win over the Rockies following a 3-2 win from Minneapolis. Ryan Kreidler slugged a go-ahead, solo homer in the seventh inning while Connor Prielipp gave up two runs and fanned a career-high 10 batters over six innings. Ryan Feltner surrendered just one earned run on five hits over six innings for Colorado, which has dropped three-of-five.

(Buffalo, NY) — The NHL draft is done. The Blues took Boston University forward Tynan Lawrence with the 11th-overall pick. St. Louis also grabbed Quebec center Maddox Dagenais at Number-16. The Blackhawks selected BU defenseman Xavier Villeneuve with the 34th pick.

(St. Louis, MO) — Meanwhile, the Blues swung a trade over the weekend. The team acquired defenseman Brandon Carlo from the Maple Leafs in exchange for pair of third round picks in this past draft. St. Louis also traded a pair of Friday first-rounders for Anaheim’s Mason McTavish.

(Cromwell, CT) — Two players are tied atop the leaderboard of the Travelers Championship after play was suspended due to darkness at TPC River Highlands. Scottie Scheffler and Viktor Hovland are both 21 under par after the final round. Collin Morikawa finished in third at 20 under. Defending champion Keegan Bradley was tied for 14th at 14 under par. Scheffler and Hovland will face off in a playoff that begins Monday morning.

(San Diego, CA) — Shane van Gisbergen claimed the first race of the NASCAR Cup Series In-Season Challenge with a victory at Sonoma Raceway. The driver of the Number-97 car held off Chase Briscoe to take home the checkered flag in the Toyota-Save Mart 350. Ty Gibbs, Kyle Larson and Christopher Bell rounded out the top-five finishers. The in-season tournament continues next Sunday at Chicagoland Speedway.

>>Team Canada Blanks South Africa To Open Knockout Stage

(Inglewood, CA) — Team Canada opened the knockout stage of the World Cup with a 1-nil win over South Africa from Inglewood. Stephen Eustaquio netted the lone goal about two minutes into second-half stoppage time. It’s Canada’s first knockout match victory in World Cup history. The Round of 32 continues with three more matches on Monday. Brazil and Japan square off from Houston, Germany and Paraguay battle from Foxborough while the Netherlands and Morocco duel in Mexico.
