The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department has released information on several recent arrests.
Last Wednesday, deputies conducted a traffic stop in Geff and arrested 33-year-old Dillon S. Hewkin of Geff. Authorities say Hewkin refused to identify himself or provide identification in an attempt to obstruct his arrest. After confirming his identity, deputies arrested him on a Clay County warrant, as well as charges of driving while license revoked and obstructing justice.
Friday, deputies served an active Wayne County warrant on 46-year-old Susan J. Grove of Fairfield at her residence. During the arrest, deputies say 46-year-old Shaun D. Carl began yelling at officers and locked the door, preventing backup deputies from assisting the officer inside. Carl allegedly refused commands to unlock the door and was arrested for obstructing justice. Both Grove and Carl were transported to the Wayne County Jail.
Saturday, deputies conducted a traffic stop in Sims and arrested 38-year-old River J. Spofford of Sims on an active Wayne County warrant related to a traffic violation.
