Illinois Extension and Edwards County 4-H have announced the results of the annual 4-H Food and Clothing Show, held Monday, June 29, in Albion. Extension officials thanked the judges and volunteers who helped make this year’s event a success. Participants earning State Fair delegations will represent Edwards County at the Illinois State Fair in August.
In the Food Show, Best of Show and State Fair Delegate honors went to Hayley Perry in Food Preservation, Selah Trimble in Global Gourmet, Paislee Shaw in Cooking 101, Kyntlee Kelsey and Hannah Perry in Cooking 301, and Madison Miller in Cooking 401. Brytni Buckles also earned a State Fair delegation in Cooking 101.
Additional Best of Show awards were presented to Ty Sample and Caleb Sample in Cooking 101, Kelly Hinderliter in Cooking 301, and Evalynn Edwards in Cooking 201.
State Fair alternates include Elsie Hortin and Abigail Wiseman in Food Preservation, along with Myah Miller and Evalynn Edwards in Cooking 201.
In the Clothing Show, Best of Show and State Fair Delegate honors were awarded to Lucy Harrison in Sewing 1 Non-Clothing, Kyntley Kelsey in Sewing 2 Clothing, and Aleya Bare in Shopping in Style – Beginning.
Presley Shelby also earned a State Fair delegation in Sewing 2 Clothing.
The Illinois State Fair Junior Show will be held in August in Springfield, where qualifying 4-H members from across the state will exhibit their projects.
