Vicki Sue Karcher, age 82, of Belle Prairie, Illinois, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026. Born on May 26, 1944, in McLeansboro, Illinois, she was the cherished daughter of Holly and Florence Musgrave.
On September 1, 1962, Vicki married Gary Karcher, embarking on a loving journey together. A dedicated hairdresser, she pursued her passion after graduating from high school by attending beauty school, a career she embraced throughout her life.
Vicki’s legacy is carried on by her children: Jackie (Alan) Rubenacker, Mark (Paula) Karcher, Julie (Danny) Rudloff, and Michael (Miranda) Karcher. She will also be dearly remembered by her grandchildren Devin (Kaitlin) Rubenacker, Dana (Blaine) Rubenacker, Dani Rubenacker, Josh (Kaylee) Karcher, Ashley (Zach) Duncan, Jessi Rudloff, Alyssa & Aiden Karcher, and her great-grandchildren Leland, Blakely, and Otto Rubenacker, Alaina Hamson, Brynn Bradley, and Palmer Karcher. She is survived by her brother George “Bud” Musgrave and sister Linda Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, her sister Debra Smithpeters, and brother Don Musgrave.
Vicki was a member of the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Crouch Cemetery in Belle Prairie, Illinois.
