Illinois Eastern Community Colleges is accepting applications for two full-time coaching positions at Frontier Community College, announcing openings for both a Head Men’s Basketball Coach and a Head Women’s Basketball Coach.
Both positions are 12-month professional, non-faculty roles responsible for overseeing all aspects of their respective basketball programs. Under the IECC Athletics Staffing Model, approximately 70 percent of each position is devoted to coaching and athletic operations, while the remaining 30 percent focuses on institutional responsibilities that support the college’s mission and operational needs.
Responsibilities for both positions include recruiting student-athletes, scheduling games and team travel, conducting practices, supervising staff, maintaining equipment, fundraising, teaching, fostering positive community relations, and ensuring compliance with National Junior College Athletic Association regulations. The women’s coaching position also includes performing assigned institutional duties.
Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree, while a master’s degree is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with previous college coaching experience. IECC is also seeking applicants with strong public relations, fundraising, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
The positions offer annual salaries ranging from $51,827.70 to $59,601.86, depending on education and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, and life insurance, paid sick leave, vacation and personal days, and participation in the State Universities Retirement System.
