The Edwards County School Board meets this evening. They have a handful of items on the agenda. Following a motion to approve the “Consent Agenda,” they will hear “communications,” the “spotlight,” and take care of “unfinished business,” including 2nd reading and adoption of policies as well as handbooks and manuals. In “New Business,” the Unit 1 Board will entertain motions to accept bids for food and milk for the 2026-2027 school year, adjust milk prices for the 2026-2027 school year, resolutions related to “Hazardous Areas” as approved by IDOT, and a temporary transfer of Working Cash Funds to the Transportation Fund. In other business, they will look to approve projects over $5,000, including the ECHS Baseball Restroom ADA Project and the WS Softball Field Light Project. The Board will also hear administrative reports, handle a few personnel matters following a closed session, and act on past closed minutes. The Edwards County Unit 1 School Board meets tonight at 7 p.m. in the K-12 Band Room.
