Area first responders and Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash Thursday evening northeast of Orchardville.
At around 5:40 p.m., Delexia Lytle, 25, of Centralia, was traveling northbound on County Highway 16 near County Road 475E, in a 2004 Chevrolet Impala, when she lost a rear tire on the vehicle. This caused the vehicle to leave the roadway and drive into a pond.
The driver refused treatment at the scene, however a passenger in the vehicle was transported to an area trauma center by Air Evac for treatment of injuries.
No citations were issued and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
