Illinois State Police say foul play is not suspected in the death of an Anna woman whose body was discovered earlier this week.

The Anna Police Department requested assistance from the Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 7 on Wednesday, July 29, after 59-year-old Joy Toler of Anna was found near the entrance driveway of a business located at 1735 E. Vienna St.

An autopsy was performed Friday, July 31, by the Union County Coroner’s Office. Preliminary findings found no evidence of foul play and no injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle.

Illinois State Police said the investigation remains active, but at this time investigators do not believe foul play was involved.

No additional information has been released.
