Residents and visitors are invited to put on their dancing shoes and travel back in time as Mt. Vernon hosts a Baby Boomer Party during the upcoming Friday’s Food & Art Festival. The event will take place on Thursday, August 7th from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Commons in downtown Mt. Vernon.
The evening promises to be a vibrant celebration of the 1950s, 60s, and beyond, featuring live music from The Cool Hand LukeS. Those attending can look forward to classic rock ‘n roll and doo-wop tunes, vintage vibes, and plenty of opportunities to twist, shout, and dance under the summer sky. In addition to music and dancing, the festival will feature food trucks offering a variety of tasty treats, as well as local artist vendors displaying and selling their work.
Organizers say the event is designed to be fun for the whole family, with activities and entertainment for all ages.
