State Representative Dave Severin and State Senator Terri Bryant are inviting area seniors to attend a free Senior Health & Wellness Fair on Thursday at the Rolland Lewis Building in Mt. Vernon.
The event will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. and will feature local healthcare providers, community organizations, and senior service agencies offering free health screenings, wellness information, and resources for older adults throughout Southern Illinois.
“Our annual Senior Health & Wellness Fair is a great opportunity for seniors to access valuable resources in one convenient location while also visiting with the organizations that serve our communities every day,” Severin said.
Bryant said the event is designed to connect seniors and their families with trusted local organizations and the services available to help them remain healthy and independent.
Attendees will also have the chance to register for door prizes donated by participating vendors. Complimentary donuts, fruit, juice and coffee will be available while supplies last.
The event is free and open to area seniors and their families.
