RFD Radio Network’s Rita Frazer has been selected for induction into the 2026 National Association of Farm Broadcasting Hall of Fame, recognizing more than three decades of service to agricultural broadcasting.
Frazer, who has more than 35 years of experience in farm broadcasting, currently serves as audio news manager for the Illinois Farm Bureau’s Marketing and Communications Division. Before joining the RFD Radio Network full time in 2011, she spent 22 years as network anchor and broadcast editor at WSMI Radio in Litchfield, where she covered agriculture and local news throughout central Illinois.
“It has been an honor to serve farmers and tell the story of Illinois agriculture. It’s a blessing,” Frazer said. “Being recognized by my peers with the Hall of Fame award is truly an honor, and humbling.”
A 35-year member of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting and a past president of the organization, Frazer has received numerous industry honors, including being named 2024 NAFB Farm Broadcaster of the Year. She also previously served as the association’s East Region vice president.
Frazer will be formally inducted during the 83rd National Association of Farm Broadcasting Convention on Nov. 19 in Kansas City, Missouri. She will be honored alongside Tom Cassidy, the recently retired farm director and general manager of Ag Radio Network in Barneveld, New York.
“Rita and Tom have been trusted voices for agriculture for decades, delivering the news and information that farmers and ranchers depend on every day,” said Don Wick, chairman of the 2026 NAFB Hall of Fame Committee. “Their leadership has helped shape the future of our association and our industry, making them truly deserving of this recognition.”
