FAIRFIELD POLICE OFFICER TO RECEIVE NATIONAL GUARD LEADERSHIP AWARD

A Fairfield police officer and Illinois Army National Guard warrant officer will receive national recognition later this month for his leadership and service.

Chief Warrant Officer 2 Caleb Koker has been selected to receive the Eagle Rising Award for Warrant Officers during the National Guard Association of the United States Conference, which will be held Aug. 28-31 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The Eagle Rising Award recognizes Warrant Officers 1 through Chief Warrant Officer 3 who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, technical expertise, and professionalism in service to both their country and their communities.

In addition to serving with the Fairfield City Police Department, Koker serves in the Illinois Army National Guard with the 2nd Battalion, 123rd Field Artillery Regiment.

The Illinois National Guard congratulated Koker on the prestigious honor, recognizing his dedication to military service and community leadership.
